Tides Catering Policies

Minimum for Delivery

All catering deliveries require a $50 minimum.

Lead Time

There is a 7-business day lead time for custom menus.
Events for 100 guests or more, planning should start 4 weeks in advance.
Large Multi-Day, Park and Meeting Center events require minimum 6 weeks notice.
To ensure availability, we ask that all additions or changes be made 3 days prior to your event.

Last-Minute Orders

We always do our best to accommodate last minute orders, and such requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Menu selection and delivery times may be limited.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 5 days prior to the event will incur a 25% charge for food expense.
Cancellations within 3 days of the event will incur a 50% charge for food expense.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the event will incur a 100% charge for food expense.

Deliveries & Pick Ups

We require a 30-minute window for all deliveries and pick-ups.
Any leftover food & beverage, equipment, rentals, and non-disposable supplies should be left in the room for pick up at conclusion of your event. If any food, beverages, equipment, rentals and supplies are moved to another location, please call 650-522-5961 to notify us of the new location.
Equipment and rentals not returned will be charged to the cost center for that event.
Event pick-ups after 5 pm will incur a $75 late pick up fee.
Guckenheimer is not responsible for the removal of any leftover food & beverage or equipment from any vendor other than Guckenheimer.

Payment

Invoices will be directly billed to the department cost center. Credit cards are also accepted for payment. Please call 650-522-5961 for credit card processing.
Current sales tax rate is 9.375%

Beer & Wine Service

Beer, wine and Champagne are available by request only. When placing your order through Catertrax, please note your request in the delivery / set up instructions. Upgraded wines are available upon request.

A bartender(s) is required for events with a guest count of 50+ or events hosted beyond 5pm. One bartender for every 100 guests is required. A 4-hour minimum is required for each bartender.

Games

Cornhole, Connect Four and Jenga are available to rent for your outdoor event. The minimum fee is $25 per hour. Maximum charge is $100 for 4 hours. The fee is to cover delivery, set up, and pick up of the games. Your cost center will be charged for the replacement cost of any games returned broken or damaged. 2 games recommended per every 50 persons

Florals. Linens & Special Themed Events

Floral, linens, specialty themed items can be added to your catering order. Guckenheimer works directly with the Event Services department to create special themed events. Working together we can assist with booking entertainment, prop rentals and any other special needs.
